Visit to TGH Mr N.Ramkumaran and family

During our vacation in Sri Lanka, we paid a visit to Thilakavathiyar Girls Home in Palugamam, Batticaloa on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

Even though our primary goal was to visit the child we are sponsoring, Miss Neelamegan Gaya in TGH we also wanted to meet all of the children in the girls’ home, learn about their concerns, and provide moral support. We were warmly welcomed by SWO’s Co-Ordinator Mrs Sivasunthary Prabakaran and other team members. Mrs Sivasunthary provided a quick description of how their organization is currently carrying out its activities. and we took a group portrait with all of the staff members. She introduced us to everyone in the team. We were too politely invited to join them for lunch because it was lunchtime for youngsters. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We also gave chocolates to all of the youngsters and had casual discussions with them and the staff members.
My brother-in-law then gave a motivational speech to all of the youngsters and attempted to communicate with them directly. He urged every youngster to participate actively in order to show them how loved and valuable they are. Although one may not be able to provide the motherly and fatherly affection that these youngsters deserve, the staff does a fantastic job of compensating. We resolved to continue supporting the work of this organization after witnessing the staff’s contribution to the well-being of these God-given children. When we left, our hearts were overjoyed that we had met all of the children and provided them with some type of protection. The feelings were mixed. Everyone should be blessed by God.
Kind regards
